Arrows

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to listen to Fresh Life church live. They have started a new series called Arrows which is a parenting series. Hello, that is something this new mom so needs. We all want to raise our kids in godly ways, but sometimes we can get so lost and confused on how to do that. Epically if we weren't raised in a godly home, we can get lost. I always say stick to the unchanging and living Word of God. That is my heart, passion and greatest joy! When the world around us seems to be crumbling we can have hope and stand firm on God's truth.
This first message in the series talked about how are children are all diffrent but we must make it our choice to aim them at the target heavenward. By doing that we daily pour into our children and teaching them to seek first the Lord. The main verse for the series is Psalm 127. I have been meditating on that verse all day long today.
Psalm 127

"Unless the Lord builds a house,
the work of the builders is wasted.
Unless the Lord protects a city,
guarding it with sentries (a soldier stationed at a place to stand guard and prevent the passage of unauthorized persons)
will so no good.
It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat;
for God gives rest to his loved ones.
Children are a gift from the Lord,
they are a reward from him.
Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior's hands.
How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them!
He will not be put to shame when he confronts his
accusers at the city gates."

I'm praying to slow down and really teach God's Word to my son. Life has so many demands but if we aren't careful we can loose out on the blessing and the opportunity to pour life into our children. I'm praying that you are encouraged and challenged to make God's Word a priority in your life and your family's life.
If you want to check out the teaching the link will be below. I'm looking forward to listening to the rest of the series, and believing that God is going to use it to change our families.

-Joyfully His!
